A Women’s Week to remember Women of all ages, from all over the Torres Strait, have celebrated Queensland Women’s Week and International Women’s Day with love, laughter and style over the past week, with more to come. Empowerment was the main theme in a series of workshops and events, some of which are bound to be talked about for many years to come. A three-day workshop hosted by the Torres Strait Island Regional Council on Warraber was attended by at least two women from every Ailan community.
