Half a tonne of marine debris: gone

Seisia and Bamaga community members, and volunteers from around the NPA, hauled a whopping 500kg of marine debris off their community beach last weekend. The two day, volunteerrun beach clean was run in partnership with the Torres Strait Regional Authority and not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the removal and prevention of marine debris, Tangaroa Blue.
