They Keep Making Noise!
In March every year International Women’s Day is celebrated world-wide and in Queensland the event is supported by the Queensland Government’s Women’s Week. This year’s theme is Keep Making Noise! This amazing group of women from Badu Island have planned and ran a week-long program
of celebrations and learning the whole community was invited to participate in, starting on Monday with a (noisy!) march through the community.
We’ll have more pics and stories (send us yours!) in our next issue, but in the meantime check out our TSRA International Women’s Day feature on pages 14-15
The week’s activities included a breakfast, arts and cultural crafts, sharing stories, song performances, games, guest speakers, and finishing tomorrow (Friday) night
