he City of Tshwane has distanced itself as it is waiting for forensics and emergency report after a pensioner lost her life after a wall collapsed on her.

Micheal Dlamini from Soshanguve Block AA, North of Pretoria the neighbor of the Late Nurse at George Mukhari Academic hospital in Garankuwa Mrs. Thoko Margaret Mabena (67), said that the heavy rainfall that happened on Friday the 4th of February and continued till Saturday. When it stopped he went outside to clean the trees in his yard and there was a heavy flow of water on the street, Dlamini said there’s a storm water and sewerage system pipes on the mountain he said thinks those pipes burst due to rain, then two men came and took rocks put across the street so that they can climb the mountain it was during that time that he went to the back of his house to get a wheelbarrow so that he can pick up the refuse that

Tumelo his Nephew came running to the house to call him when he came out the two men told him that there’s problem the wall has fallen down. One of the men said there’s a person lying here since the deceased was staying alone and her gates were always locked. It meant the wall fell down on her and the bricks hit her head and lower part of her face.

Dlamini further went to say that “The first thing I did when I arrived at the scene was to request the two men to assist me so that I can remove the bricks but they

told me that they’re going to work so they won’t be able to help, so he went to call his Nephew who came with a plier so that they can cut wires that were on top of the wall.”

They later called emergency personnel include the Police who came to do assessment but they certified Mrs. Mabena dead on the scene and the police came to do a statement. The problem their facing is the sewerage system that is always leaking whenever they experience a heavy rainfall in the area but they report the matter to Municipality but the problem still persists

He described the late Mrs. Thoko Margaret Mabena as a humble person who was always ready to help people around the community when neighbors had gatherings she would open her house and very vocal when it comes to issues that affected the community including load shedding Sipho Stuurman from the from the office of the Executive Mayor in Tshwane said that he is unable to comment on the issue as he is still waiting feedback from the forensics and emergency personnel thing. He said.

by Constable Peter Nhlanhla Zondi from Soshanguve Police Station it said that” the robbery happened on the 6th of March at 22:45pm at

It further went on say the suspects only took properties amounting to R128 000 including a red Acer Laptop and money from the tills around the store.

immediately after the incident apparently the suspects were on foot immediately after the robbery they went to the next block which is Block M by foot and disappeared there.

“No arrests have been made so far our detectives are still tracing the suspects, their still investigating”.

Self-Proclaimed prophet sentenced to two Life terms for rape

local news Prophet Delani Erick Zwane(28) face two life terms for the rape of two minor girls age 14 and 15 respectively. proved its case beyond reasonable doubt that indeed Zwane committed these crimes he was accused of. In his argument prosecutor Sifiso Hlongwane, argued that “there can be no greater crime than to deprive a child of her innocence, especially a vulnerable child”. He further reminded the court that based on one of the Victim impact statements, at the time of the incident one of the victims was a virgin and Zwane took that pride away from her. Moreover, he asked the court

not to ignore the fact that the country has a high level of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) against children and women, therefore the court should impose life imprisonment.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) welcomed the sentence of a self-proclaimed prophet Delani Erick Zwane(28), by the Soshanguve Magistrates’ Court to two life terms for the rape of two minor girls age 14 and 15 respectively, at the time of the incident.

Zwane was initially charged with 3 counts of rape, however, he was acquitted on one count of rape of an 18-year-old woman. All the victims are from the same neighbourhood as Zwane in Soshanguve, Pretoria.

NPA Regional Spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana said “The two minor girls were friends and consulted with Zwane on different occasions in 2018. They were given a drink that made them feel dizzy, then he proceeded to ask them to undress so they can steam. While steaming, he raped them and threatened to kill them with “muti”, a traditional medication should they tell anyone about the incident.”

“In February 2019, a mother of one of the girls had gone to consult another Prophet, who told her that her child was raped by Zwane. The mother confronted

Established in 2010 by Aggripah Claudius Moyo, who firstly registered the Johannesburg branch and the year that followed he registered at the Pretoria branch.

On the 5th January 2011 Mr Moyo donated a sum of money towards the establishment of an institution for higher education. This money contributed largely to the capital investment in Sedco College and on 3 January 2012 the school opened its doors for the first time, with Isabel Choga as its first headmistress.

Driving licensing testing centres resume operations today after court interdict

editorial@tshwanebulletin.co.za Following the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport being granted a court interdict to halt the ongoing protest action, the City of Tshwane will resume operations at all its driving licencing testing centres (DLTCs) and motor vehicle registration offices starting from Wednesday, 9 March 2022.

The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport has obtained a court interdict which must be enforced. Protesting driving schools should not be allowed to hold customers for ransom,”

The City of Tshwane MMC for Roads and Transport Dikeledi Selowa said “The Roads and Transport Department is committed in ensuring that our residents receive services without any further interruptions. The strike action by the National Driving School Association (NDSASA) has run for almost two weeks.

Protesting driving schools should not be allowed to hold customers for ransom,” said Selowa “Despite the provincial government interdict, the City of Tshwane will continue with its own application for our own interdict against NDSASA to prevent possible violence and property destruction at our DLTCs. The court is expected to sit on 9 March 2022 to hear our interdict application.

As part of the attempts to resolve the ongoing strike, the Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula, paid a visit to our DLTC in Akasia yesterday to assess the impact of the ongoing protestaction.

Minister promised to engage the Police Ministry to deploy officers at different centres to prevent violence and enforce the court interdict that has already been granted to the provincial government.

Engagements between relevant stakeholders in this matter are ongoing and the city will keep its residents updated on any further developments.

The Department looks into poor service at clinics

By Tumelo Sekwele editorial@tshwanebulletin.co.za The Gauteng Provincial Department of Health say it will look into the issue of quality service delivery, after numerous complaints were laid by Mabopane residents pertaining to the level of service provision they get from local clinics in their area.

The problem started in June after Corona virus arrived...

Mathapelo Bokaba from Mabopane said that she took a day off from work and went to Sedilega Clinic in Block u where she went to consult because she has been experiencing chest pains for a week.

She arrived at the clinic around 10 oclock and the progress was slow on the day, she only received her patients file at 14:00 they told her that their going for lunch when they returned

after 15:00 she told the nurse that she’s having chest pains the nurse told her that water is the medication but she told the nurse that how because when she drinks water she experiences those chest pains.. The nurse then wrote Painblocks when (Mathapelo ) requested a sick note the nurse checked the time when she received the file and called her colleague who shouted at her, which crushed her spirit.

Amogelang Kgwadi from Mabopane Block B said that her problem started when she queued for a long time outside the premises of Tlamelong Clinic in Block B , Mabopane and when they get inside they don’t get assisted in order as they expected and they wait long time too.

“The problem started in June after Corona virus arrived and the clinics is always changing its system,” said Kgwadi Kwara Kwena Spokesperson from Gauteng department of Health said that “The department is looking into the matter. The public is advised to use the Quality assurance units available in various facilities in the event they have concerns about services in public health facilities. “

University to empower healers through indigenous knowledge,

By Tumelo Sekwele editorial@tshwanebulletin.co.za Dr. Lettie Mtshweni from Beirut in Mabopane, North of Pretoria launched the first Southern Africa Development Community University of African Medicine branch in Pretoria on Saturday. The first university was opened in 2018 at Polokwane‘s Limpopo Province. The event on Saturday was attended by various directories from the University and a key note speaker was Dr. Bishop Maponga J III. Professor Thabo Myeza from SADC University of African Medicine said that as Africans we must treat other the same and that African traditional medicine is about understanding the different experiences and ways in which things are done in African countries so that in future we could be able to do collaborations as African countries but the problem we’re facing as Africans is that people don’t want to share the knowledge they have with others. He also stated that it is important for traditional healers to carry themselves in a dignified them and make sure their surgeries are clean at all times.

Dr. Lettie Mtshweni said that her Journey as a traditional healer started at a very young age where she had dreams about her ancestors and she was once working as an administrator at City of Tshwane and at times she would register to study further but she would drop out at the end due to her calling.

“I was admitted for depression at Louis Pasteur hospital for 30 days I have been a patient to a child Pretoria heart Hospital being called an ill person when you have a calling people will label you and see you as a lunatic most people who stay with me know that I lived a lavish lifestyle and drove expensive but due to my calling my ancestors took them away”.

Dr. Bishop Maponga J III from Farmers of thought said that there’s no African person who is a Christian because that’s a colonial religion that we have accepted as part of us and it’s a religion of a colonialist. He also said that our liberation struggle did us an injustice and our political leaders are waking up and realizing that political freedom does not come with economic freedom. Said.

MABOPANE EAGLES FC TO HOST CAMP TRIAL

editorial@tshwanebulletin.co.za Mabopane Eagles FC is set to host a camp trial for both girls and boys aged 13-25 from the 17th of March till the 31st March 2022 in Mabopane Block C. The aim for the camp is to boost the depth of the team and most importantly handing players with an opportunity to showcase their talent.

Club Coach Neo Dichabe revealed that preparations have gone well so far and the club is looking forward to the camp.

“Preparations are going well as we now have a clubhouse and equipment so we are done with them as we now await camp day”.

There will be tournaments played during camp and players will have the opportunity of playing against some of the big teams.

He further revealed that accommodation will be provided for players coming from long destinations.

Talking on the importance of the camp

to the team, Dichabe said, “ This camp is very important for the team as we will be building a big and strong team that will participate in our super League squad for the 2022/23 season.”

Dichabe calls on players to come in numbers and experience 15 days of great football and opportunities. To be part of the camp players are expected to pay a fee of R700 which covers food, accommodation, transport , and closing braai.
