ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF CAPE VERDE (UNI-CV)
The University of Cape Verde (Portuguese: Universidade de Cabo Verde, abbreviated "Uni-CVV") is the only public university of Cape Verde. The main campus is in Palmarejo, Praia, but there are also institutes in Mindelo, Assomada and São Jorge dos Órgãos. It has over 5000 students. A new campus for Uni-CV is under construction in Palmarejo, financed by the Chinese government. It should be completed by July 2020. It will have capacity for 4,890 students and 476 professors, with a library, dorms, cafeterias and sports facilities. It will have 61 class rooms, five auditoriums with a capacity of 150 seats, eight computer rooms, eight reading rooms and 34 laboratories. The University of Cape Verde was created by decree-law 53/2006 of 20 November 2006 by merging of three colleges: ISE (Instituto Superior de Educação, High Institute of Education) in Palmarejo, Praia, created under the decree-law 54/95 of October 2, 1995 ISECMAR (Instituto Superior de Engenharias e Ciências do Mar, High Institute of Engineering and Marine Sciences) in Mindelo, created under the decree-law 40/96, of October 21, 1996 INAG (Instituto Nacional de Administração e Gestão, National Administration and Management Institute), in Praia, created under the resolution of 24/98 of October 21, 1998

ABOUT THE PALACIO DA ASSEMBLEIA NACIONAL (CABE VERDEAN PARLIAMENT)
The National Assembly (Portuguese: Assembleia nacional) is the unicameral parliament of the Republic of Cape Verde. Its headquarters are in Praia, the capital of the country. It was created at the time of the country's independence in 1975 under the name of “Popular National Assembly” (ANP). It took its current name with the adoption of the 1992 Constitution. The National Assembly is made up of 72 seats filled for five years by multi-member proportional voting with closed lists in 13 constituencies of two to 15 seats. Of this total, 66 seats are filled in the ten electoral constituencies that divide the national territory, while the other six are filled by the diaspora, with two for Africa, two for the Americas and two for Europe and the rest of the world. After counting the votes, the seats are allocated according to the Hondt method. All lists of candidates must respect the principle of balanced representation of both sexes.
