Winter Academic Fair
It’s time to start thinking about registration for Winter! The academic fair is your opportunity to talk with faculty about their programs or courses. To make the best of this event, it’s good to come prepared; your TRIO advisor is here to help! They can help you review the catalog offerings, narrow down the list of programs/courses you are interested in, check to see if there are prerequisites or signature requirements and brainstorm questions to ask professors.
When: Wednesday, December 3 (Week 9).
Locations:
“Day-time AND In-person" OR “Day-time AND Hybrid” classes (you can filter the catalog for these offerings) will be found at the Academic Fair (inperson) from 2-3:30 p.m. in Evans Hall.
Remote OR Evening and Weekend (you can filter the catalog for these offerings) will be found online at the Academic Fair (remote) from 4:30-6 p.m.

Winter Registration
Winter registration begins soon!
Monday, Dec 8th: Seniors with 135 or more credits, post-baccalaureate undergraduates, veterans, graduate students and students in the Tacoma and Native Pathways programs.
Tuesday, Dec 9th: Juniors with 90-134 credits.
Wednesday, Dec 10th: Sophomores with 45-89 credits.
Thursday, Dec 11th: Freshmen with up to 44 credits.
To look up when you can register, go to your registration “time ticket” on My Evergreen starting on the day of the Academic Fair. Note that the credits you are currently attempting will be counted towards your winter quarter class standing.
INT and ILC Deadlines
Internships (INT) and Individual Learning Contracts (ILC) for winter are due soon! The on-time deadline is the end of week ten, or Friday, Dec 12th. Reach out to your TRIO advisor if you need assistance getting your INT or ILC set up!
Winter TRIO course information
TRIO is excited to share our Winter quarter course offering: TRIO @ Evergreen: Funding Your Journey. This class is designed to help build financial confidence and gain knowledge to support financial wellness. Throughout the quarter, you’ll explore how finances impact life choices, learn strategies to fund or reduce college costs, and practice critical thinking. By the end, you’ll apply what you’ve learned by completing your Evergreen scholarship application—an important step toward your financial wellness and academic success!
The class is 2 credits and will meet remotely from 1-3pm Monday afternoons. A faculty signature is needed; email the TRIO inbox at trio@evergreen.edu.
Fall Graduates (yay!)
Graduating this quarter? Final Academic Statements are due before midnight on Friday, Dec 19th. For assistance, contact your advisor or check with the Writing Center.

Beginning this academic year, TRIO is teaming up with The Writing Center and QuaSR to support all your tutoring needs. If you need tutoring support, reach out to your TRIO advisor—they’ll help you set up an appointment with the right resource!

Housing: Facing housing insecurity? Evergreen's Case Manager for Student Success provides housing resources and support to work with current students who may be experiencing this need. Email arcbasicneeds@evergreen.edu to set up a meeting with the Case Manager to discuss housing resources.

Basic Needs Center: The Basic Needs Center facilitates access to essential resources such as housing, food, clothing, hygiene products, and community services, at no cost to students. Our Basic Needs Navigator offers private one-on-one and virtual appointments and helps students connect to community resources through tailored referrals and advocacy. The Basic Needs team collaborates with support services across campus and a variety of community partners – including peer support, transportation, health services, legal aid, family support, and more - to ensure students have the guidance they need to navigate local resources/services and overcome challenges. Bilingual support is available in English/Spanish.
When: Fridays from 1-5 PM by appointment Monday and Wednesday: 1-5 PM Drop-In (no appointment needed). Where: CAB 135

Evergreen has partnered with the Thurston County Food Bank to create a pop-up food bank at Evergreen Olympia Campus for the community. Food can be picked up from the Basic Needs Center.

TRIO students need to meet with their TRIO Academic Specialist at least once per quarter. Now is the time to make that appointment. You can do so by dropping by our Olympia offices or scheduling an online appointment with your academic advisor.
