Athletics
On the Thursday the 19th of September, Trinity College had their Interhouse Athletics Carnival. We had a sunny spectacular day. The day began with the tabloid events which included: high jump, long jump, triple jump and shotput, with discus for the Year 7’s only. These events are usually the most enjoyable for everyone. After these events we all participated in the 50m(for Year Fours only) and the 100m sprint for the Years 5,6, and 7. Xavier dominated in these events and were placed on top of the scoreboard, but not for long. Chanel grabbed a few points from the hurdles events and took the lead. Chanel was now in first place, Xavier second, Queens third and Campion fourth.
When lunch came we all received a sausage in a bun and a juice or a choc milk. After lunch the team events were held. Chanel scored most points from these events and further stretched out their lead. The 200m (100m for the Year 4’s) followed after the team events. It was a tougher challenge, but everyone enjoyed it. After the 200m it ended up being a head-to-head battle between Queens, Chanel and Campion. The final score was Xavier, fourth with 809 points, Campion, third with 844 points, Queens second with 860 points, and Chanel winning by 64 points, to make them 924 points. The day ended up being a great success and lots of fun. Can’t wait till next year!

Primary Interschool
On the 26th of September on Thursday, the Interschool Athletics Carnival was hosted right here at Trinity College.
The day started off with the field events which included triple jump, long jump, shot-put and discuss. These events carried into lunch.
After lunch we started the track events with the 50m, 100m, 200m, 60m hurdles, 400m, and 800m and then we finished with the circular relay.
All the schools that participated performed very well, but Trinity was exceptional. All the schools showed great sportsmanship even though no one was declared the winner. It was a superb day and well organised by Mr Hamer and his troops.
