Cross Country

The Senior Cross Country Team has had an excellent season, taking out the PSAChampionship, and now being the proud holders of the P.M. Moyes Cup. The team's success is attributable to a lot of hard work, sheer determination, and dedication to training by our large team of boys. Mr Jurjevich, Mrs Bourke and I have worked hard to establish an atmosphere in which the boys endeavour to attain personal best times and encourage the efforts of others.

David Rossbach was again our best runner, setting an unbeatable place in the majority of races. Other outstanding performances were made by both Joel & Brennan Cummuskey, Cade Zulsdorf, Matthew Oswald, and Christopher Gibson. The speed of our top fifteen runners combined to produce a formidable and unbeatable force, and was backed up on every occasion by the boys just outside the top fifteen. Aspecial thank you to all the junior runners who were promoted to senior level on many occasions, all of whom showed outstanding courage and determination against boys twice their size.

This year, the Hasting's 5.8kim Bridges Cup was retained by David Rossbach, who amazes us with his continual improvement in pace, while the Stephen Spier's Effort Trophy was awarded to Alessio Di Biaggio who has had an impressive season and has met every challenge put to him. Congratulations to these boys, and I look forward to seeing all the boys competing for these trophies next year. It was a real privilege to be involved with such a dedicated and committed group of boys. Thanks must also be given to Martin English (Captain), and Robert Norman (Vice Captain) both of whom provided fantastic role models for other boys. We will miss their leadership along with that given by the other year 12's in the team.

Finally, I must thank the parents and boys from other teams who came and supported us throughout the season. It is great to see a large number of parents attending the races and I have been most grateful for the huge amount of support that you have offered. I look forward to continued success in Trinity Cross Country in near future.
