Before I started going to Trinity, I was nervous; but now I know lots of people and I am enjoying it here. We went to camp during first term and it was so fun!
Richard Birchall
On our first day of Year 5, we were all nervous, but Mrs Kelly helped us settle in really well. I met old friends and new friends. Throughout the term, we did many fun things which included our swimming carnival, summer sports, PE lessons, writing stories, and art lessons. Perhaps the best thing about term one was going on camp. All in all, it was a wonderful term!
Bill Scheggia
Second term was really fun. We went to Forrest Chase to watch the group “Junkadellic” perform during World Environment Week. For sport, I played on the Year 5 football team with Mr Chitty. We didn’t lose a game all season!
Jack McIver
During second term we had to write a book report, and then tell our classmates about the book we read. Mrs Kelly then made up a booklist of “Year 5 Green Recommended Reading” so we could read the books our classmates recommended. We also had to write our own books and we all entered the “Make-A-Book” competition for Children’s Book Week. We had three state wide winners from our class!
Jake Dalli
In term three we went to the Alexander Library to see Sam, Luke and Matthew’s winning books on display during Children’s Book Week. We still had our winter sport codes on, and then we had cross-country followed by athletics.
James Prindiville
During third term I wrote a project about Burke and Wills. I dressed up as Robert Burke and presented an oral report to the class about his travels. I know heaps and heaps of interesting facts about Burke and Wills. In the Choir, we performed in the Performing Arts Festival. We received an “excellent”. I was a bit nervous, but afterwards I felt really good.
Aden Fawcett
In fourth term, I am doing art extension with Mr Lamborn, and for my sport options I am doing tenpin bowling and rollerblading. We are going to the zoo on 8 November, and we are also having mini fetes to raise money for the missions. My year in Year 5 Green has been great and I am looking forward to Year 6 next year.
