‘All Together Now’ Wellbeing Week is over & what a week it was with activities ranging from Gymnastics and Trampolining to ‘Fitness without the lies’ a seminar about health & fitness. Also, we had the challenges running for the full 7 days through to the tug of war on Sunday afternoon.

As can be seen from this months Newsletter, the Active Living team is now in place and we celebrated 10 years of Barclay’s Spaces for Sport at Old Trafford Sport Barn. In addition, last Friday we held the 15th Trafford Sports Awards and I can confirm they were the best ever.

Congratulations to Kay and her team, Simon and his team and Kev and his centre team for putting on a great night. I can tell you I was very proud sitting next to the Leader of the Council when all of the fantastic performances were being highlighted.

Hopefully, you all committed to doing something last week for Wellbeing Week. If you weren’t able to take part, there will still be staff classes running throughout the year for you to take part in.

As an example, we have recently worked with an LA from a site, helped her to gain the relevant qualifications and were able to offer her casual hours. Then, during the summer she worked for us on a full time basis and has recently made the move across to the Coaching Team.
