Touro At A Glance

TOURO UNIVERSITY Over the past 50 years, Touro University has gone from strength to strength. Established in 1970 to focus on higher education for the Jewish community and to serve humanity, Touro has grown to serve a widely diverse population of nearly 19,000 students across 36 schools in four countries.

Touro’s significant achievements and advanced academic standing have led to our recently awarded university status. At the same time, Touro is emerging as a powerhouse in healthcare education—with close to 8,000 students pursuing degrees in medicine, dentistry and allied health fields.

Touro’s remarkable expansion continues. We have recently added Lovelace, a biomedical research institute in New Mexico, that will greatly expand our research capabilities. Touro opened a new college of osteopathic medicine in Montana, in addition to our existing five medical schools in New York, Nevada and California. This school will provide new doctors to rural and Native communities throughout a state facing a healthcare crisis.

Perhaps most exciting is our new Cross River Campus at 3 Times Square in New York City.
