ELEVATE YOUR BRAND DESIGN. PRINT. DISPLAY. WWW.ABSOLUTECP.CO.UK HIGH STREET, TONBRIDGE

Dear Tonbridgians,

I hope you enjoyed all of the celebrations surrounding the coronation, the High Street looked amazing, huge thanks to Gorgeous George and TMBC for making it look so festive. I joined hundreds of you on the castle lawn for the Big Lunch, which had a lovely family atmosphere. Many shops took part in our window dressing competition, and having to choose 3 winners from such a creative bunch was a hard task!

One of my favourite things about our town is that we really celebrate summer! We’ve already had the Lion’s Club fête and dog show, a football fiesta and the first of the free concerts on the castle lawn. We still have a lot of events coming up, and this is a really important time for seasonal businesses and charity events.

Please support these if you can, to name just a few, Tonbridge Music Weekend will be bringing some rock, pop and soul in the

first week of July, there’s also outdoor cinema and theatre, Tonbridge Pride and a wealth of family activities. Tonbridge River Trips can take you on a peaceful journey on the Medway, or if you’re feeling like a good upper body workout, you can hire a rowing boat. Mochafella can keep you refreshed while you visit the park, and many of our cafés have outdoor seating for you to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

As ever, you’ll find it all in our listings and on our website.

Best Wishes

Tonbridge Town Team

What is the Tonbridge Town Team?

The Tonbridge Town Team was established as a result of the Portas Review published in 2011. The main aim is help make Tonbridge a vibrant and exciting place to live, work, visit and do business. The team achieve this by linking together businesses, local government, charities, clubs and the population as a whole.

There are lots of organisations, businesses and individuals who are doing fantastic things in Tonbridge and so the team set out to work with them and celebrate their achievements. They can make even more of an impact on the town by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurialism, and by building on the community spirit that exists in Tonbridge and the surrounding area.

The town team’s vision is an inclusive one that values all members of the community and seeks to build bridges and enable all to prosper in the surrounding area.

By working together and concentrating on what we can do rather than what we can’t, by being open to new ideas and matching enthusiasm with patient resolve we can continue to make our community not just a good place, but a great place to live.
