Contents What a wonderful summer we had in town! Numerous events took place in and around the town centre, including the highly successful Tonbridge Music Festival, delightful evenings of music at River Walk, the community fête and dog show, and another thrilling Dragon Boat race to conclude the season. Now that the nights are getting longer, and we are thinking about comfort food, getting cozy and looking forward to the holiday season, what does Tonbridge have planned for us? November will begin with a spectacular fireworks display at the Racecourse, organised by the Round Table. November also marks Remembrance, with the annual Service of Remembrance to be held in the Memorial Garden on Sunday, November 12th. Poppies will be available for purchase throughout the town as well as a Poppy Appeal stall inside Sainsburys. There will be a plethora of festive activities, such as the Rotary Club’s Christmas Festival and Lights switch-on, a festive artisan market, Carol services, and pantomime, all the way through to the New Year. Additionally, we encourage you to visit our regular events

that are definitely worth experiencing: The Farmer’s Market takes place on the second Sunday of each month, showcasing a wide variety of food, drink, and craft stalls. The dedicated repairers at Tonbridge Repair Café can revive household items, preventing them from being discarded and offering a more sustainable alternative to purchasing replacements. There are numerous interest groups meeting year-round, where you can try your hand at poetry, learn about history, wildlife, or art, or even experience live folk music. All tastes catered for! Wishing you a Happy Christmas and New Year.

Tonbridge Town Team What is the Tonbridge Town Team? The Tonbridge Town Team was established as a result of the Portas Review published in 2011. The main aim is help make Tonbridge a vibrant and exciting place to live, work, visit and do business. The team achieve this by linking together businesses, local government, charities, clubs and the population as a whole. There are lots of organisations, businesses and individuals who are doing fantastic things in Tonbridge and so the team set out to work with them and celebrate their achievements. They can make even more of an impact on the town by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurialism, and by building on the community spirit that exists in Tonbridge and the surrounding area. The town team’s vision is an inclusive one that values all members of the community and seeks to build bridges and enable all to prosper in the surrounding area.

By working together and concentrating on what we can do rather than what we can’t, by being open to new ideas and matching enthusiasm with patient resolve we can continue to make our community not just a good place, but a great place to live. Jenny Lewis, Chairman
