MyfriendBruceMesslingrecentlylosthis wifetocancer.Hetoldmeofanorganizationcalled CancerCan’t,whichhadprovidedtremendous supporttohimandhisfamily,greatenoughthathe himselfhadfeltcompelledtogetinvolvedafterthe grievingperiod.Iwaskeenlyinterested,andasked himhowImightlearnmoreabouttheprogram.He introducedmetothegraciousandarticulateEmily Grankowski,whohasservedasDirectorof OutreachforCancerCan’tforthelastthreeyears.
TheinitialimpetusforCancerCan’tsprung fromtheheartsofJonathanandBeckyVanKuelen, whileJonathanwasbattlinganultimatelylosing battlewithbonecancerin2014.Theywere determinedtofindpurposeinthepainandtoleave
aheritagefortheirtwoyoungsons.Since Jonathan’spassingin2015,Beckyhasguided CancerCan’tasitstrivestomeetthepractical needsofpeoplebattlingcancerthroughoutthe SpokaneandNorthIdahoregion.Iwasshocked
anceriscertainlynotalight-hearted topic,butitisafactoflifethatIam surehastouchedthelifeofeveryone readingthis,inonewayoranother. Still,Ihavefoundmuchjoyandinspirationin learningofhowgratitudeandhopehavearisenin ourcommunityfromthesorrowcancercanbring.


ThesegraphsalldepictdifferentaspectsofSpokane’srealestatemarketoverthepastfiveyears,asreflectedby listingsintheNorthofthecity,pricedbetween$250,000and$750,000,withlotssmallerthanoneacre.Theyshow that,whilewearestillverymuchinaSeller’sMarket,theemphasishasshiftedabit,asreflectedinfewersales,more competition,andareducedrateofappreciation.TheserevealinggraphsareproducedbyDomusAnalytics,anew toolinthearsenalofyourTomlinsonagent,alongwiththeskillsnecessarytoapplythemtoyourspecificneeds.
