We currently have 632 pupils on roll arranged in three forms of entry except in Year 1 which is arranged in two forms. The school is located in the Foleshill/Holbrooks area of the city. 199 pupils qualify for PP. 80% of pupils have English as an additional language. These pupils speak over 30 different languages with the four most prevalent being in English, Urdu, Romanian and Panjabi. In every year group pupils arrive across the school year. Some of these pupils arrive and leave again. 14% of pupils have SEN, 43 chil‐ dren attend Nursery for a morning or afternoon half day session. The Town Council is seeking a dynamic person who can hit the ground running to augment the present team. The full-time equivalent salary will be £45,441 - £49,498 on Scale LC3 - substantial benchmark range- points 37-41 as evaluated within the salary scales of the National Association of Local Councils.

Job purpose: Delivery of effective instrumental or vocal learning for small groups, whole classes (as appropriate), and individuals in a variety of contexts in and beyond the school day, (primary and secondary schools, SILCS, other learning environments) throughout the city, in line with ArtForms' shared and agreed practices. As a musical instrument Tutor you’ll use your own skills and experience to inspire and develop your pupils, helping them to progress with their own chosen instrument as well as developing their wider musical un‐ derstanding. You will also make them aware of and encourage en‐ gagement with wider playing opportunities such as school based ensembles or, where appropriate, City of Leeds Youth Music groups.

ArtForms Music Centre Instructor

The Town Centre is currently being energised in partnership with the County Council and exciting projects are being developed including a cultural centre on the redeveloped marketplace. In addition, works are being carried out on the gateways to the town as well as other projects. This an exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity, to be involved in the future of the Town and the various projects underway. The Town Council is one of the largest top 30 community councils in the UK and has a budget of £1.4m. The Town has a Partnership Agreement with the County Council to deliver an enhanced service costing about £350,000 in addition to the basic core service delivered throughout the whole county. This Partnership Agreement is currently under review. The Council delivers several services including the management of allotments, responsibility for play areas, litter bins and bus shelters and has developed its own services in the areas of community grants and the significant promotion of events.
