The Town Centre is currently being energised in partnership with the County Council and exciting projects are being developed including a cultural centre on the redeveloped marketplace. Wales Parish Council is seeking to recruit to the post of clerk to the council a highly motivated person with a wide variety of skills.

The position would suit someone who has previous experience of working in local government and managing staff.

Our Multi Academy Company (MAC) was formed in September 2013 with just one secondary school and two primary schools. Over the past 10 years, we have grown to two secondary schools and six primary schools, educating over 3000 pupils aged 3‐18 years. Our MAC footprint sits across the local authorities of Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham and Walsall, all serving wonderfully diverse and vibrant communities.

The post is full time with a core working week of 30 to 37 hours and attendance at evening meetings, typically twice a month.

The successful applicant will preferably hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration qualification or be willing to undertake the appropriate training and study to obtain the qualification. Our MAC is very much at the beginning of its digital journey. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring strong and robust financial management across all schools in the Trust. In line with the Owlcotes Strategic Plan, the CFO will have a crucial role in the delivery of the Trust’s objectives in a sustainable and measured way.
