About the role….
You will be working as a Building surveyor carrying out full condition surveys to all property types within the Council’s property portfolio and as required in line with business need. You will ensure standards and policies are followed across the council portfolio of buildings to ensure safe and secure property portfolio. You will undertake minor cross council works to support the service ‘one front door approach’, be proactive in all aspects of health and safety, and work collaboratively with the team to deliver positive outcomes for our customers.
Along with this you will manage minor projects throughout the portfolio managing sub-contractors along with full budget reporting and management. You will be expected to undertake small procurement exercises within the remits of minor works to procure subcontracting services and projects. You will also be pro-active in health and safety throughout all schemes of works to ensure full compliance is met.

Safeguarding Education Specialist
Salary: £41,659 to £47,672 a year Per Annum
The post-holder will play in integral part within the Trust's Safeguarding Team, fulfilling the role of the subject matter expert for safeguarding education. Candidates will be expected to be an experienced Safeguarding professional, with suitable experience in that setting of developing training in that area of expertise. The post-holder will analyse training needs and design new training material, to up-skill the current suite of Safeguarding educational packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality assurance of material produced by external providers as well as for the delivery of bespoke safeguarding training to cohorts of staff with specialist roles within the Trust including doctors, specialist paramedics, and mental health professionals. The post-holder will be the lead for the delivery of mental capacity training also mentor and quality-assure other professionals to deliver safeguarding training to wider groups of staff.
To maintain competency in safeguarding practice, the post-holder will also undertake some functions of a Named Professional for Safeguarding working in a matrix arrangement within the Trust's Safeguarding Team. Main duties of the job
• To assist the Head of Safeguarding and the Head of Education with specialist expert advice on the policy for, strategy for, design of, and delivery of safeguarding education and safeguarding supervision for all staff and volunteers working for the Trust.
• To design and deliver generic and specialist safeguarding training courses for staff and volunteers working for the Trust.
• To represent the Trust at local, regional, and national education forums both within the ambulance sector and within the wider health and social care sector.
• To undertake the duties of a Named Professional for Safeguarding when required including attending multi-agency risk assessment meetings, undertaking statutory safeguarding reviews, triaging safeguarding referrals generated by staff, undertaking safeguarding audits, sharing safeguarding information with external partners, providing safeguarding advice to operational staff, and any other function undertaken by the Trust's Named Professionals. It is envisaged that the Safeguarding Education Specialist will spend around 25% of their time undertaking the duties of a Named Professional in order to maintain competence and expert knowledge of safeguarding practice in the ambulance sector.

As the service manager, you will provide leadership and management for the team to ensure an effective and efficient provision for vision impaired pupils and pupils with physical needs across the Local Authority Led Resourced Provisions, mainstream, specialist and early years’ settings as well as in homes to:
• Provide strong and outstanding leadership, supervision and line management for a range of teaching and non-teaching staff and work with the service leadership team in all matters arising from policy, families, staffing, finance and administration and multi-agency working.
• Work with other managers across the STaSS team, school leaders and other professionals to secure and sustain effective teaching and learning and support for children and young people who are vision impaired and with physical needs by raising awareness of the needs and rights of these children and young people.
• Ensure that a cohesive, flexible and responsive service is able to deliver efficient and effective outcomes to meet the individual needs of all pupils for whom the service has responsibility across the RPs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced qualified Level 3 social worker to join our out of hours, Emergency Duty Team(EDT). The successful candidate will be expected to work on a rota that provides cover at times that the daytime officers are closed-evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Staff are office based and can work from home when on nights.
The team provide a wide range of children services to vulnerable services users across the district outside of normal business hours. Working with skeleton staff, often working alone and in emergency. Ensuring that appropriate representation and support is provided to individuals, families and other professionals based on emergency or out of hours’ situations including enquiries, advice and strategy discussion and Child Protection S47 investigations.
As a member of Bradford EDT you will be part of a skilled and professional team supported by experienced colleagues and managers.
