(£42,821 - £46,845) The Service: Providing strategic procurement for Northumberland County Council and Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust; the Shared Procurement Service is a ground-breaking collaboration between the local authority and the Trust. Its aim is to provide a sustainable and cost effective procurement service which helps drive economic benefits and service quality for all stakeholder organisations. The Role: Due to continued success and growth, the successful candidate will work within the Corporate, FM and Environment Contracting Team. The team is a well-established team which has positive relationships across both the NHS and Council. We operate in an agile environment meaning that the successful applicant can be flexible in their work location. The central procurement office sits in County Hall, Morpeth but there are a range of other working sites available across Northumberland and North Tyneside and a mix of office and home-working is also offered. The team has a commitment to work-life balance and Senior Managers who understand the importance of flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a defined number of procurement projects across the two stakeholder organisations. As the role crosses both local authority and NHS, expertise in Local Authority and/or NHS procurement is desirable but not essential, the successful applicant will have knowledge and understanding of relevant public sector procurement legislation, regulations and professional best practice. We’re looking for someone who is confident at leading a team to influence services to use intelligence and data. This role will report directly into the Head of Intelligence, Quality Assurance and Engagement. One of the main functions of the role is to support the development of a team of data analysts to develop intelligence led approaches from single or multiple sources across the Children & Families service to inform service delivery/improvement using restorative principles. This may include; leading workshops with senior leaders, team managers and practitioners to work restoratively with high challenge/high support principles, producing reports for lead members and the senior leadership teams, attending strategic and operational meetings to share findings and constructively challenge areas of potential weakness, signing off statutory returns, contributing to the inspection framework and ensuring an outward focus on best practice to inform continuous improvement.

The position is primarily based within the Intelligence, Performance & Engagement team at 1 Staffordshire Place, Stafford. However, we actively encourage the use of smart working, including working from home and other locations.
