Thanks to ideas and feedback from past participants and the Fremantle community, we have created this program for diverse interests, and people of all ages and abilities. Creative. [adj] Relating to or involving the use of the imagination or original ideas to create something. The Rhythmic Body Music isn’t something that happens out there, but in here. Magical Mosaics For over 55s: Experience the magic of mosaics over this 4 week program. We'll use a range of tesserae including ceramic tiles and learn correct cutting techniques suitable for all. You'll work on your own mosaic masterpiece leaving with a mosaicked plaque.

Get Learning Nyoongar Language: Beginners Keep our language alive with Nyoongar woman Sharon Gregory! Beginners classes are desgined to offer and introduction into the Nyoongar language that is easy to follow and loads of fun! Please note: there will be no classes on 5 March or 2 April.

Polishing a Manuscript for Publication With T.A.G. Hungerford Award submissions opening soon, this is perfect opportunity to harness your editing skills with none other than Deb Fitzpatrick who has been regularly publishing novels for adults, young adults and children with Fremantle Press since 2010. Learn the tricks of the trade and get your novel ready for submission. The T.A.G. Hungerford award is provided by the City of Fremantle in partnership with Fremantle Press.

Get Healthy Gentle Flow Yoga

Morning Medicine

For over 55s: Learn the art of yoga as you are gently lead through a variety of physical postures, in synchronisation with the breath, helping to improve balance, coordination and strength. Practise breath awareness exercises to calm the nervous system and reduce stress. This class is suitable for people of all abilities and physical constraints.

For over 18s: Replace your morning practice with an hour of dance for one week. Watch your day come alive with this meditation in dance, free the body, free the mind. Book at dheva72@hotmail.com.

Express Yourself Learn to articulate what’s inside you through creative, visual art and written media in this warm and joyful social group. This group aims to promote mental health and recovery through a range of different mindfulness techniques and creative processes. Activities may include mandalas, zentangling, and sketch booking.

Freo Social Walkers Join us for a weekly walk around Fremantle stopping for a coffee or finishing with one. We take it in turns, once a month, to home cook something yummy to have with our coffee after the walk. Safe Harbour from Emotional Pain Support Group

South Fremantle Playgroup provides local families with small children (0 - 5 years of age) with a friendly, safe and stimulating environment to socialise, be involved in group activities, build their first friendships and develop physically, socially and intellectually. Parents and guardians have a place to interact with each other.

There are times in all of our lives when we need a Safe Harbour from emotional pain, whether it relates to individual or family issues, loneliness, anxiety, depression or other life challenges. This Support Group offers (for all ages) the opportunity to share experiences within a non-judgemental, confidential environment - facilitated by a Professional Counsellor. Curious Kids Nyoongar Weaving

Yogazeit for Kids

For ages 13 and up: Join Indigenous artist Lea Taylor in a Nyoongar weaving class, using traditional and contemporary weaving techniques to create a unique piece for your home. All supplies are included. Classes are suitable for ages 13 and up with adult supervision. Please note, there will be no class on 13 January.

We’re celebrating summer and invite you to come and create, play and make in this special Makerspace launching life at our new address.
