Get Creative Memory Boxes - Curating Your Life

These three sessions will explore the art of curating important photos and mementos about ourselves and our families. We’ll look at collecting and what items might go in a memory box, make a personal memory box and then bring along your completed box to share morning tea and the stories behind your personal treasures.

Nyoongar Singing Masterclass Saturdays 27 April, 4 to 18 May 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm $80, Bookings essential Celebrate 2019, the International Year of Indigenous languages. Join multi awardwinning musicians, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse for a 4 week masterclass in Nyoongar language singing. Help keep the Nyoongar language alive in this fun and interactive course. The masterclass finishes with a small concert for friends and family.

Live Well Longer - Ageing at Home

Live Well Longer – ageing at home is a small organisation formed by three friends with first hand experience of helping their elderly parents remain living independently at home. Jill will provide an overview of the government’s home aged care programs, as well as tips and strategies to help navigate the system, plan for the future and explore the options for staying at home.

This hands on workshop provides participants with independent information, strategies and tools required to develop a individual plan for ageing at home. South Terrace Streetscape Improvement We’ll be commencing in-ground drainage works at the intersection of Jenkin Street and South Terrace in May. Access will be maintained during this time; however, at times traffic may be reduced to one lane.

What to expect during this time Traffic management will be in place at all times to facilitate safe traffic movement. The drainage works will include installation of new pipework, replacement of damaged soak wells and installation of new drains. The drainage upgrade is to prepare for the next section of the South Terrace streetscape improvement. Design inspiration for this section is the mosaic outside The Meeting Place, part of a community-led bush tucker art project launched in 2008.

Practice seated or standing yoga poses to help benefit your mobility, flexibility and relaxation, with the chair providing you more support and stability.
