Get Creative Mixed Media For over 55s: Learn to create an artwork on a wooden panel using ink, calligraphy pens, stencils and acrylic paint. We will be preparing an atmospheric ink background and then creating our own designs and stencils. This layered effect will create depth in the work. We will use calligraphy pens to draw elements and create patterns. Acrylic paint will be the final layer in creating your artwork. Suitable for beginners and intermediate.

Uthando Doll Making Make a difference to children living in one of Africa’s (KwaZulu Natal) most affected communities.  The children play with our donated dolls to help them get through time when they are surrounded by poverty and grief. Get Creative Suncatchers Beads of all colours, sizes and materials can create beautiful patterns when they catch light. Out of beads, rope and wire we’ll construct a sun catcher that will shine and sparkle, suitable for in or outdoors.  No experience is necessary and you’ll leave with not only your sun catcher but a range of skills in beading and wire wrapping.

Bibbulmun Women's Weaving Lea Taylor is an award winning Aboriginal weaver and artist from Wadandi/Minang nations of South West Western Asutralia. Lea's workshops uses a variety of natural materials, including natural raffia, hand dryed raffia which she dyes herself.

For over 55s: Relax and breathe in this gentle yoga flow class, supporting balance, strength and sleep. You'll be guided through a relaxed flow class to support balance, strength and sleep. Practise breath awareness exercises to calm the nervous system and reduce stress. This class is suitable for people of all abilities and physical constraints. Chairs provided. A talk by Zen teacher Ross Bolleter on Zen practice in our busy lives, demonstrating seated meditation, an ancient practice that can transform your life. Booking not required.

Shut up and Write!

Have fun cooking and sharing a vegetarian meal. You do not have to be a vegetarian to enjoy the delicious recipes and ideas that are shared by all. Minimal cost of ingredients to be shared by the group members.

This democratic creative writing group allows writers of all abilities and genres to develop their skills and swap ideas. The group is facilitated by Gary McHugh.

You may be eligible for Tax Help, a program by the Australian Taxation Office, if your income is $60 000 or less for the past financial year. A trained and accredited community volunteer will provide a free and confidential service to help complete your tax return online.
