Miss Dallowayt, a felsőosztálybeli 24 éves teheráni lányt szülei Párizsba küldik, hogy megvédjék az iráni politikai zavargásoktól. Egyik valóságból a másikba kerülve a fiatal nő megismerkedik a lakhelyéül szolgáló luxusszálloda londinerével, Geckóval, akibe rögtön bele is szeret. Egyszerre szenvedélyes és spontán viszonyba kezdenek. A lány az interneten keresztül követi a hazájában zajló véres eseményeket: a Twitteren és a YouTube-on naponta megnézi az irániak által feltöltött amatőr videókat a tüntetésekről. Geckót ezzel szemben nem érdekli a politika, és semmit sem tud Iránról. A kötelék kettejük között ettől függetlenül egyre szorosabb lesz. A romlás virágai egy XXI. századi szerelmi történet, amelyet behálóz az internet és a jelenkori történelem. Miss Dalloway, a 24-year-old girl from Tehran’s high society, is sent to Paris by her parents to protect her from the political violence in Iran. Transferred from one reality to another, Miss Dalloway meets and falls in love with Gecko, who works as a bellhop in the luxury hotel where she arrives. They start an affair as passionate as spontaneous. But the bloodshed resurfaces through the Internet: Miss Dalloway is using Twitter and YouTube to stay up-to-date with the events, and to see the amateur videos of the demonstrations uploaded daily by the Iranians. Gecko is apolitical and knows nothing about Iran. Regardless, the bond between the two of them deepens. Flowers of Evil is a 21st century love story steeped in Internet and tangled up in history.

David Dusa 1979-ben született Budapesten. Svédországban és Dél-Afrikában nőtt fel, Göteborgban és Párizsban tanult filmezést. Néhány rövidfilm és egy Mike Sens-nel együtt rendezett kísérleti dokumentumfilm után A romlás virágai az első nagyjátékfilmje. Born in 1979, Budapest, Hungary, he grew up in Sweden and South Africa, studied film in Göteborg and Paris. He directed short films and co-directed (with Mike Sens) an experimental documentary, Flowers of Evil is his first feature film.
