RJ Muller appointed Cox’s director of public affairs BY PEORIA TIMES STAFF RJ Muller has been tapped to lead the Phoenix Cox community relations team overseeing Cox Charities’ grant program, which has given more than $9 million since 1996 to Arizona nonprofits. In addition to Cox Charities, Muller will spearhead the strategy and execution of signature Cox giving pro-
grams including Connect2STEM and Connect2Compete. Muller has been with Cox for nearly 18 years in roles of increasing responsibility and has distinguished himself both inside and outside of the company. He serves on the board of governors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. Muller earned the Governor’s Award from the Rocky Mountain

Southwest Chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences and has won two Beacon Awards from the Association of Cable Communicators. He is a graduate of Valley Leadership’s Leadership Institute, class 36. Muller is an Arizona native and a graduate of ASU with a degree in broadcast journalism. He serves as a leader in his local congregation with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he lives in Peoria with his wife of 25 years, Alyssa (his kindergarten sweetheart). They enjoy spending time with their four sons — Parker, Easton, Davis and Hayes — and two dogs.
