hen you are not feeling well, the last thing you want is to drive dozens of miles to a doctor’s office. Fortunately, this is not the case at all in Ahwatukee. As newcomers to the area soon realize, you can find just about any type of medical care that you need in Ahwatukee. If you pulled a muscle in your back while moving into your new place and it is after usual business hours, Ahwatukee has urgent care facilities that will be happy to see you. For more serious medical cases, Ahwatukee also is home to an emergency room. For general medical care, you can choose from a wide selection of primary care physicians, including M.D.’s and D.O.’s. Prefer an internist? You will find plenty of those right here. Time for your little pumpkin to get his or her shots and/or a checkup? Ahwatukee has a variety of pediatricians who can treat your little ones. For well-woman checks or if you are expecting a baby, there are a number of OB/GYNs. When it’s time for the yearly mammogram, you only need to make a short drive to an imaging center. If you need a teeth cleaning, you won’t have to drive far to find a dentist who can polish and shine those pearly whites. To keep your peepers in tiptop shape, schedule a checkup with a local optometrist or ophthalmologist. And if you are experiencing bad headaches or other issues, local neurologists will be able to treat you.
