Building safety, privacy and transparency for our community
We’re working to build the most trusted entertainment platform in the world, and the safety of our community is the foundation that makes this possible. Here’s a glimpse of some of the steps we’ve taken this quarter to create a platform built on safety, privacy and transparency.
1 Updated Community Guidelines and Community Principles

Introducing a way to refresh your For You feed on TikTok
As part of our ongoing efforts to guard against repetitive recommendations, we’re rolling out a way for our community to refresh their For You feed if their recommendations no longer feel relevant. We’ve introduced new default settings so every account belonging to a user below age 18 will automatically be set to a 60-minute daily screen time limit, and expanded Family Pairing with more parental controls.
Our Transparency Forum event series is an opportunity to discuss updates and tangible progress in making TikTok the safest place for creative self-expression. Join us
