Quarterly Safety Report:
Building safety, privacy and transparency for our European community
We want to build the most trusted entertainment platform in the world, and the safety of our community is the foundation that makes this possible. Here’s a glimpse of some of the steps we’ve taken this quarter to create a platform built on safety, privacy and transparency.
Investing in our 150m-strong community in Europe
Over 150m people across Europe come to our platform every month for inspiration and entertainment. See how we’re supporting this community by creating a culture of compliance and building long-term trust.

1 Creating age-appropriate experiences
Our new Content Levels feature is designed to organise content based on thematic maturity and prevent content with overtly mature themes reaching people aged 13-17.
Prioritising privacy
We’re setting a new standard when it comes to data security with Project Clover, and opening two more European data centres to further deliver on our data governance strategy.
4
Championing transparency and accountability 2
We’re providing transparency to our users on why a video or ad has been shown to them with the About this Video and About this Ad tools.
Our Transparency Forum event series is an opportunity to discuss updates and tangible progress in making TikTok the safest place for creative self-expression. Join us.
