We’re working to build the most trusted entertainment platform in the world, and the safety of our community is the foundation that makes this possible. Here’s a glimpse of some of the steps we’ve taken this quarter to create a platform built on safety, privacy and transparency.
As part of our continued focus on user privacy and advertiser accountability, we introduced several new features and updates, including ad personalisation controls, as well as a series of changes aimed at providing both advertisers and our community enhanced transparency and control over data. Brand Safety Studio
We launched a one-stop-shop of video resources for marketers looking to learn more about brand safety on TikTok. Available resources include on-stage sessions, animated explainers and industry interviews.

We’re deeply invested in protecting the integrity of elections on TikTok. For the recent European Parliament elections, we removed over 2,600 pieces of content for violating our civic and election integrity policies, and over 43,000 pieces of content for violating our misinformation policies. We also launched dedicated in-app Election Centres for every EU Member State, which have been visited over 7.5 million times.
As part of UEFA’s approach to tackling online abuse at UEFA EURO 2024, we collaborated to monitor selected profiles as part of a comprehensive preparedness plan to understand and mitigate issues that could occur during the tournament. No instances of abuse were identified on TikTok after effective work before and during the tournament by a cross-functional group of dedicated safety professionals. data security with Project Clover
We shared a progress update on Project Clover, our industry-leading initiative to provide even greater data security for our 150 million-plus European community. As part of this update, we shared information on additional protections, new data enclaves and security testing by our partners at NCC Group.
