Our community's safety is the foundation of everything we do. As we work toward becoming the most trusted entertainment platform in the world, we're committed to being transparent about the progress we’re making. Here's how we’ve strengthened safety, privacy and trust this quarter.
Updating our Community Guidelines for greater clarity
Safety on TikTok begins with our Community Guidelines. This quarter, we've refreshed them to offer clearer language, refined policies, and more transparency. These updates are designed to make it easier for our community, partners, and stakeholders to understand how TikTok protects users and enforces standards consistently. 1
Proactively enforcing safer standards across the globe
As reported in our recent Community Guidelines Enforcement Report , we removed over 99% of violating content before it was reported and more than 90% before it had any views. We invest in a combination of trust and safety professionals and automated moderation. We are also piloting the use of large language models to further improve accuracy and speed. These efforts help ensure TikTok remains a safe, brand-suitable environment. 2
Introducing new Trust & Safety tools
We've launched a suite of new features that give users and families more ways to manage their TikTok experience. This includes Well-being Missions, designed to encourage healthier digital habits, and enhanced Family Pairing controls, which provide parents and caregivers with greater visibility and support. 3
Continuing Digital Services Act compliance in Europe
We've released our fifth Digital Services Act (DSA) transparency report in Europe, covering the first half of 2025. It highlights that there was strong accuracy in removing content that violates our Community Guidelines, with an accuracy rate of 99.2%. We removed over 27M pieces of content in this time. We also implemented a new reporting option to allow people in the European Union to report content they believe is illegal.
