Management Disclaimer: Please note – that while we make every effort, shows can change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances and commitments of artists

Hello and welcome It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to our Winter 2019 / Spring 2020 brochure. Our comedy club, launched in July 2019 has got off to a cracking start and we have multiple dates booked for the months ahead, so why not put them in your diary now! With a wide selection of shows to choose from, you are sure to find something that appeals to you, whether it is 80s Mania, Amy Winehouse Celebration, Abba Mania or You Win Again a tribute to the Bee Gees. For families we have The Snow Queen or for opera lovers why not book to see Opera Up Close’s Madam Butterfly. When you do come along, you will notice that our upper foyer toilets have been fully refurbished, and include an extra cubicle in the ladies to help reduce those interval queues. I am sad to announce that we say farewell to the Friends of Watersmeet Film Society who will be screening their last film on 14 November. The film society has been a big supporter of Watersmeet over the years and they have made a significant contribution to the venue and community by screening films here. They contributed towards the purchase of the digital cinema equipment in 2012 and have funded fifty percent of the new cinema screen, due to be installed this January. On behalf of Three Rivers District Council and Watersmeet I would like to thank the Film Society for everything they have done for the venue and the community. We are especially grateful to the committee and past committees for their dedication and hard work, which has helped put Watersmeet back on the map. However, this is not the end of films at Watersmeet as Filmsmeet will be continuing to screen a great selection of film titles and live theatre screenings on a regular basis. In fact we are set to show more films in 2020 than ever before, including a very special weekend of open-air film in August at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, as part of Three Rivers District Council’s plans to promote Hertfordshire Year of Culture 2020! Hertfordshire is the first county to hold a Year of Culture and this exciting campaign is designed to promote arts and culture across the county. To find out what’s on or how to get involved check out our double page spread dedicated to Hertfordshire Year of Culture 2020! Finally, I hope to see you all at this year’s pantomime Peter Pan starring Todd Carty (Grange Hill, EastEnders). Be sure to hook yourself some tickets before they all get snapped up!
