Repair Facility Our new 3,000 square metre state-of-the-art repair facility has been designed to maximise our workflow and to deliver quality workmanship. The facility features cutting-edge machinery and technology, including: • Easy access and an expansive loading bay to accommodate any size job. • Drive through access for large trucks. • 20-tonne, 10-tonne, and 5-tonne Gantry Cranes. • 1-tonne travelling Jib Cranes. • A 100,000 Nm Cylinder Stripping Bench capable of disassembling and assembling cylinders with a bore of up to 1 metre x 10 metres in length. • Specialised calibrated equipment to allow piston nuts to be torqued precisely to OEM specifications. • Hydraulic cylinder test equipment featuring live hydraulic fluid condition monitoring and data logging capabilities.
• A 460m3 Clean Room with high speed access doors ensures all critical components are assembled and tested within a filtered clean-air environment, maintained to ISO 14644 standard. • A 700 bar Hydraulic Test Bench with test equipment and facilities to log and plot equipment performance. • Welding Bay including Automatic Bore Welder, capable of reclaiming cylinder clevises of all sizes, and the most up to date Sub-Arc Welder with integrated rotator technology. • Automated equipment allowing flat precision grinding and conical lapping of critical pump and motor components. • Ultrasonic cleaning equipment. • A dedicated 170m3 TrueFlow Spray Paint Booth with the latest technology including bake cycle and an automated retractable roof to cater for “drop in” jobs. • Fully equipped Machine Shop including the latest technology 10M CNC Lathe.

EQUIPMENT HIRE K&R Hydraulics offer hydraulic equipment for hire to a range of industries on both short and long term arrangements. We have a Hydac FAM-45 Filtration, Dehumidifier and Degassing Unit. The unit operates on the principle of vacuum dewatering to eliminate dissolved water. This process also frees and dissolves gases from hydraulic and lubrication fluids. The unit is extremely economical using Hydac offline filter element technology with its high contamination retention capacity and filtration efficiency. The equipment is designed for recirculative connection to an operating hydraulic system, allowing your manufacturing process to continue undisturbed, whilst the hydraulic fluid condition is restored in parallel. K&R Hydraulics will deliver, install and leave the unit for as long as it is required, and collect on completion. We also have Hydraulic Power Packs for hire, ranging from 1kW-45kW.

HYDRAULIC REPAIRS
The dedicated and highly skilled team at K&R Hydraulics are equipped to tackle any task. From reseals to comprehensive cylinder repairs; barrel honing to complete cylinder manufacture of both large and small cylinders; general repairs of hydraulic pumps, valves and motors tested to certified OEM standards – we do it all and more!
Technical support specialisation and capability add value to our services. Through in-house failure analysis and reporting we specialise in identifying intrinsic design flaws in hydraulic equipment and implementing modifications to extend the service life of hydraulic components.
On-Site Service K&R Hydraulics also provide on-site services. Our hydraulic Service Technicians are on call to troubleshoot critical breakdowns, test pumps, assess repairs for hydraulic equipment, and remove components for further assessment and repair at our fully equipped Workshop, if required. We also offer cost-effective solutions for on-site complete systems audits and filtration upgrades.

PRECISION HONING
The team at K&R Hydraulics has extensive experience in the high precision honing of hydraulic cylinder barrels.
An extensive range of dimensional and surface measuring equipment ensures absolute consistency over the full length of barrels during the honing process, meaning K&R Hydraulics can guarantee that finished honed surfaces are within seal manufacturer’s specifications. Our specialised rotary brush cleaner, imported from the US, ensures cleanliness of cylinder barrels during and after the honing process, along with our refrigerated fine filtration unit, we provide a far superior finish which ensures cleanliness and post honing dimensional stability.
Our specialised honing machines include: • Sunnen HL-80. • Sunnen STH-8000-HXEM with capabilities: – 38mm to 670mm maximum bore. – 8 metre maximum blind length. • Honing oil filtration and cooling system.
