It’s hard to believe the year is coming to an end with Christmas just around the corner.
• Single Touch Payroll was introduced for small businesses with 20 employees or more from 1 July 2018, with other businesses to adopt from 1 July 2019.
2018 has been another busy year for the team at Mortgage Choice Lane Cove. Speculation within the property industry continues as to what is likely to happen with property prices and whether interest rates are likely to stay at record lows.
• Unused concessional contributions by an individual may be utilised if the individual’s balance is below $500,000 and the full $25,000 cap wasn’t used.
Sadly, we don’t have a crystal ball and hence can’t predict what 2019 will have in store. However as always, we look forward to helping more clients to achieve their dreams of property ownership.
• The $1.6m transfer balance cap reporting commenced for superannuation funds with member balances above $1.6m and in pension mode.
