Listen to the story as a class, taking a moment after each slide to predict what might happen to Kamal next.

Whilst at primary and secondary school, Jamal had a poor attitude to learning:

He doesn’t listen to his teachers

He always chats to his friends instead of doing his work

He doesn’t think his education is very important

Kamal left school at 16 with 4 GCSE’s, including one A in physics.

Unfortunately, Jamal is often late to work, refuses to listen to his boss and keeps forgetting to collect some of the houses bins!

Jamal decided that he had to make a change if he wanted to be successful in his life. But, is there still time?

YES!

Jamal started an apprenticeship as an aerospace engineer, as he was always interested in physics in school. He did this for three years before deciding he wanted to learn more.

Can Jamal go to university?

Jamaldoes an access to university course and is then accepted into university to study engineering!.
