Whilst at primary and secondary school, Jamal had a poor attitude to learning: He doesn’t listen to his teachers He always chats to his friends instead of doing his work He doesn’t think his education is very important Jamal left school at 16 with 4 GCSE’s, including one A in physics.

Jamal got a job!

He works for the local council as a bin collector.

Unfortunately, Jamal is often late to work, refuses to listen to his boss and keeps forgetting to collect some of the houses bins!

What do you think is going to happen to Jamal next?

Will he keep his job?

Oh no!

Jamal is fired!

With no income, what is he going to do?

Jamal decided that he had to make a change if he wanted to be successful in his life.

But, is there still time?

YES! Jamal started an apprenticeship as an aerospace engineer, as he was always interested in physics in school. He did this for three years before deciding he wanted to learn more.

Can Jamal go to university?

Jamal does an access to university course and is then accepted into university to study engineering!.

What is the moral of this story?
