COLLEGE LIFE
Wargrave and Nugent House Dinner The Wargrave-Nugent House Dinner was great fun. The theme of the house dinner was ‘What you wanted to be when growing up’ which left a few people confused when Mr Ferley turned up as a snowman. The night was good fun. It had a great atmosphere, and it was nice for people to talk to and get to know some people that they may not have spoken to before. There was a bit of controversy regarding the best-dressed outcome but Will Coleman (Y10) managed to get his hands on the title after a roaring cheer from every table due to his “geezer” outfit. Duke Carr (Y13) who was dressed as a pharaoh wasn’t very pleased, and neither was Will Hoskins
(Y13) who for the first time invested money into an outfit and came kitted out as an Arab prince but still couldn’t get shortlisted. The night had a range of entertaining games such as trying to decipher people of the two houses’ names from different objects put together as well as objectives to unscramble on individual tables such as working out which two celebrities’ faces had been morphed together. Another thank you should be said to the caterers for staying late on a Saturday to prepare our food as well as a thank you to the organisers of the event including Mr Spiers and Miss Burford.
