“Why doesn’t my teacher like me?”
First of all, it is highly unlikely that your teacher truly does not like you. It is their job to instruct you and to help you improve. However, if they are giving you lower eRC grades than you would like, try checking their comments for tips to improve.
If it is less about reports, and more that you feel the teacher is treating you unfairly, use the Friday Tutor Time slot to discuss this with your Tutor or Hsm. They may need to discuss it with the teacher.
Welcome to The Stag’s first ‘Agony Aunt’ page!
The Stag’s own Agony Aunt, Auntie Stag, will be answering any questions you might have about school, exams, family, friendships, romantic relationships, and much more…
“I don’t think my crush likes me. What do I do?”
Hello, reader. If you have strong feelings for this person, we recommend that you ask them whether they have feelings for you! You might find this easier to do this over text. Even though this might seem awkward, remember that it is always better to have a definite answer. Otherwise, you’ll constantly find yourself either worrying or fantasising about whether they like you back. But if it turns out that they don’t have romantic feelings for you, don’t despair! Part of the teenage experience is to try, fail, grow and learn in love. If you’re ready to move on, remember that you cannot ‘get rid’ of your feelings at the flick of a switch. Instead, let your feelings naturally fade away and begin cultivating relationships with new people.
“How do I revise without getting bored?”
Remember that it isn’t all or nothing. It is unlikely that you will be able to work for five hours straight, for example. Revision Tips: Create to-do lists of academic tasks each day Try out apps such as Quizlet Work for 45 minutes, then give yourself a fifteen minute break
Listen to LoFi music for motivation
Remember to exercise, eat enough, and get fresh air each day Buy stationery that excites you! Remind yourself of your reason for revising Take a quiz to see whether you are an auditory, visual, or kinaesthetic learner
