LITERATURE

What is Watt Reading? Year 9

Noughts & Crosses I’m not a big book reader, but once I picked up ‘Noughts and Crosses’, I couldn't put it down. I loved the drama and originality mixed with romance. The book covers lots of modern day issues such as racism and sexism and Malorie Blackman writes about it extremely passionately. I went on to read the rest if the series and was not disappointed, Poppy Campion

Year 10

Circe

It is perfect for any lover of mythology or anyone just wanting to expand their repertoire. It’s a novel that encompasses a wide range of themes including change, fragility, and a quest for power in a world of misogyny. I’d recommend this for anyone who is currently in a bit of a reading slump and wants an engaging, easy read to get them back into their love for reading. Alice Caroe
