We are seeking to appoint a School Business Manager to manage and operate the administrative, personnel, financial, site and premises functions of the school with support from the school Administrator. We are looking for a friendly and organised candidate who demonstrates good finance and administrative skills and who is looking for a varied and interesting role. The role is term-time only (40 weeks per year). Hours are 37 per week Monday – Friday.

The ideal candidate will need:

Substantial relevant work experience in managing finances, personnel and premises maintenance

Excellent IT skills and use of SIMS, CPOMs and School Money is desirable

Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Excellent spoken, written and communication skills and maintain high levels of accuracy and organisation

To be able to work as a member of a team and support the day to day running of a busy school office assisting in a range of clerical and administrative duties

A high level of flexibility and the ability to prioritise your workload, multitask and work to deadlines

To be patient, calm and tactful, ensuring confidentiality at all times

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Teacher to join ACE Schools, part of Transforming Futures Trust, at our Primary base in Ford, Plymouth.

ACE schools is an alternative provision academy based across Cornwall, Plymouth, and Devon. We support up to 500 pupils each year ranging from Year 1 to Year 11. Pupils that we work with often have complex needs and as a result of this don’t currently attend mainstream or special schools’ settings. Our aspiration for all pupils is that we can support them to return to a specialist or mainstream settings and our focus is providing our young people with the skills necessary to make this transition successful.

As Lead Teacher you will oversee and shape the lives and education of primary aged children who receive a personalised curriculum. All our primary children have one-to-one teaching assistant support and are on an Education Health Care Plan pathway.

You will be responsible for ensuring each young person’s educational needs are met and that they are provided with as many enriching curriculum and extracurricular experiences as those young people who are in traditional education settings.

We have up to 12 pupils at our Primary base who have been excluded from mainstream education. There is also a Pastoral Lead who is responsible for safeguarding and interventions related to our trauma informed practice. The base has a part time administrator and is supported by our Head of Provision for Primary, WRAP Plymouth and Devon and our SENCos who split their time across our Plymouth sites. We also have a part time Forest School provision linked to the Ford site but based at Poole Farm in Plymouth. This provision has 6 places, three days a week for pupils referred by local primary schools and is led by a qualified teacher who is Forest School trained.
