the centerpiece of our school’s commitment to experiential education. For two weeks in February and March, Winterim programs immersed students in new places, experiences, subjects, and ideas.
Students selected from more than 20 diverse and unique courses, from tracking wolves in Minnesota and photographing Hawaiian landscapes to building functional industrial furniture and creating a short film from start to finish. Each program provided students the opportunity to step out of the traditional classroom setting and discover and develop their interests and talents both on campus and around the country. Upon completing their Winterims, students were refreshed, reinvigorated, and ready to tackle the remainder of the school year.

Florida Keys: Ecology and History:
“I have learned so many things about the history and ecology of the Florida Keys! We went to coral reefs and saw many fish, crabs, seagrass, and many other species.” —ALISSA PICARD ’24
