These last 4 months of winter break have given the publication time to relax as well as think over ideas and developments which will drive the publication and agency extension forward. Getting back to the basics is always important, and putting together innovative and thought provoking material is equally important.

This fiscal year ending issue is not only the set up issue for a spectacular August 2014 issue, but it is an issue that proves moving forward can easily be said and accomplished.

Providing insight through our publication roots of entertainment continue to provide meaning as well as influence among readers of multiple age groups and cultural backgrounds.

Being in charge of such a task that consistently grows beyond the bounds of our natural audience is only allowed to happen naturally. Talking about the current issues within politics, finance, technology, and of course entertainment give readers the understanding that they are also a big part of the publication. Without faithful readers the publication would not know which direction our agency would be going in next.

Readers ultimately are the driving force that plays a bigger part in moving our communications agency forward.

We are not just an agency that specializes in 1 or 2 types of communications delivery methods. We are versed in multiple methods that create unique campaigns that have gained the trust of our clients, businesses, and partnerships.

Written content is always a must, and the visual can never be left up to being decided on second. There are plenty of complicated methods and strategies that bring the written and visual arts together to make the perfect blend with satisfaction, and our team loves doing this consistently. Developing the methods and strategies that win over the attention of our audiences is mostly a constant conscious action that can keep us up for days at a time without even realizing it.

As you may have guessed this business isn’t easy at all and it requires a full commitment to those who are involved. When most think of a communications agency they think of an advertising agency that just creates advertisements and places them in high traffic publications. We don’t just do that we have a say in how the brands which we represent are presented on a long term basis. This is our publication and this is the complexity that presents itself each time an issue of our magazine is in the process of being completed.

Over the years the Ad Council of America has been supportive in advertising for many causes in society. The Ad Council has also pushed for the agendas of political figures as well as Presidents.

Giving back to society looks like it is the main focus of the Ad Council and being a leading organization at the forefront of issues has gained them the reputation of a most trusted organization.

Everywhere on the radio today listeners are able to observe and hear advertisements that the Ad Council supports. It would not be uncommon to hear a classic advertisement which promotes Smokey the Bear saying “Only You Can Prevent Wildfires”. We all grew up hearing that slogan and it has stuck with us all. It is also not uncommon to find in these times that an ad has been created which pushes President Obama’s agenda.

The education agenda recognizes that on average there is a 30% dropout rate of our nation’s teens that are in their high school education years. The Ad Council supports the fact that the President is addressing the problem and the President calls on all Americans to be supportive of teens who are at risk of being dropouts. The ad emphasizes that these teens must be encouraged not to quit and to stick it out.

The Ad Council of America recently has aired a somewhat humorous advertisement, but the intent of the advertisement is to create awareness and serious thought about the issue. With the use of technology and text messaging from cellular phones relentless and aggressive texting has been more common.

The advertisement uses a computerized voice to explain the scary and impersonal result of what aggressive texting can lead to. Such phrases as “Holla Back”, “Your Making Me Mad”, and “I’m Outside Your House” present the reality of the world we live in today. The advertisement makes listeners realize that what could seem harmless at first could turn into something rather unexpected.

Thatsnotcool.com is the site which is focused around the ad and listeners are advised to go to the website and report relentless aggressive texting.

Uniquely positive advertisements are the niche of advertisements which are sponsored by the Ad Council of America. There is one really great advertisement out there which supports training programs for individuals who are in search of gaining employment. In the ad a husband calls his wife and tells her that he was hired for the job which he interviewed for and that all the new training he received has paid off. This ad focuses on the Goodwill organization and encourages listeners to support their training programs that help to grow job opportunities in communities around the country.

It is important to support worthwhile causes and support an advertising organization which isn’t just focused on selling a product or service that has the potential of making a profit. The Ad Council of America unites us all and helps us pay attention to the matters that really matter in society today.

The Ad Council is a private, non-profit organization that marshals volunteer talent from the advertising and communications industries, the facilities of the media, and the resources of the business and non-profit communities to deliver critical messages to the American public. The Ad Council produces, distributes and promotes public service campaigns on behalf of non-profit organizations and government agencies in issue areas such as improving the quality of life for children, preventive health, education, community well being and strengthening families.

SEO and Its Mind Bending Theories

SEO is an ever changing tool that companies can use to help strengthen their online web presence. Multiple combinations of marketing strategies are needed in order to make a search engine optimization campaign run smoothly. Search engine optimization should not be confused with search engine marketing (SEM). The differences between the two are very distinct, and putting a system together to make them work for marketing and advertising campaigns will take up a lot of brain power.

Combining a traditional advertising approach with SEO will lead to some very crafty and creative offline campaigns. The offline content guide individuals to navigate to particular topics related to the campaign online.

When SEO is properly done it will line up online as multiple pages of organic and unforced content on the first page of a search engine query. Developing a strategy to take over the first page of a search engine query only depends on how creative the content producer is.

Some design specialists like to show off their talent for producing quality SEO solutions by writing impressive articles which serve as fillers packed with content related to the subject that they are marketing.

People are struggling out there trying to save for retirement, or just trying to save. Trusting the financial markets to do their job and balance the scales to produce positive yields is almost starting to look like a thing of the past. The overall growth for the output of domestic growth this year has been a pathetic .

Composed By G. L. McLaughlin and L. S. Hart Finding the right words to put into the composition was the focus of the morning task on this particular day. It took all of the concentration in the world to get the right theme together.

Shuffling through the collection of mini manuscripts just would not due on this occasion. The JAVA wasn’t talking yet and a writing deadline was quickly approaching.

Going down to the local venue would have just been an attempt at looking like the day was going to be occupied by rapid fire finger typing.

Not today, this was not an option.

Working from the home office would be the only way that things would be accomplished in a timely manner, and there was no time to waste. pg. 24

Tapping the keys in a familiar rhythm of thought had become second nature, but this was not another sophisticated editorial which was being constructed. This was a creative task that just wanted the juices to flow naturally like a Latin American JAVA bean.

Making its way to the surface was the inspiration for it all. Pure script that could have easily been compared to the technical writings of a JAVA programmer, but this script was broken

down into laymen terminology that the average person could understand and appreciate. For certain this project was going to get the audience buzzing and passing along phrases to each other that would be topics of conversation for years to come.

As the time passed along sip by sip everything was becoming clear. The arrangement and precision of the words spilling onto the digital notebook began taking a life of it’s own. The words began to demand that the message communicate a style which could not be confused as the work of a combination of previous artists who had the natural talent of spilling their influence into long scripts and defining pieces. No, one cup didn’t do the trick.

Gazing off into the distance and out the front window of the office just might be the quick solution that was going to work.

Cuffing the JAVA mug and thinking like the JAVA code talker once again was the first thing that came to mind. Next of course the mind wandered to resorting to the comforts of the local barista, but this was do it yourself day. If it is going to be excellent and done the way it is supposed to be done then it must be done with a comforting style all its own.

By Leathia S. Hart With so many styles of fashion it can be both fun and a self exploring experience for many of us.

Now that we can go to our computers and order whatever fashionable item we desire to keep up with the season’s latest styles, it makes it a very simplified way to get our hands on fashionable items from all around the globe.

So why should one limit themselves to the local trends and how the average man or woman is dressing up in today? The answer is simple, you do not have to!

Just like anything else we want to venture into, fashion is a personal sense of taste.

Mixing it up with vibrant colors or neutrals and whites can be a life changing experience for those who may struggle with finding the right clothing and footwear that truly compliments their specific body type, and believe or not their personality.

Yes people are making snap judgment about you purely based on what you are wearing. This is stunning to think about, but if you walk into a prestigious office for a job interview wearing last nights club gear and smelling of smoke and booze you may as well have stayed home.

Most employers judge you on your ability to make yourself presentable. They don’t want to be embarrassed when clients, potential clients or superiors arrive to conduct business.

My advice is to take the time to identify your personal style. This can be done by going into your local shops and trying on something you may never have looked twice at. And please, please utilize the services of the staff at the store, boutique, or shop. They are there to assist you in selecting things that look great together and most importantly things that look great on you. They are the experts and thrive on making people look and feel there best, at least on the outside.

Some of my best shopping experiences came from having a sales associate assist me on the sales floor and in the fitting rooms.

Trust me this makes a huge difference. No one likes having regrets about what they thought was a great buy at the time. Also, some things are worth splurging on, especially if it’s a versatile item, meaning you could wear it for work or play and still look great.

Don’t get me wrong I love a sale just as much as the next fashion seeker, but often times the items that are on sale are things not many people are buying so the store owners mark it down to get it off their sales floors or warehouse shelves. So be a smart shopper as well. Like I said before we can purchase whatever we want, because of technology, but I do still encourage going out to try things on. Just to be sure that it’s a perfect fit. A great fitting pair of jeans should always be purchased in multiples because you will wear them out, no pun intended.

Remember to have fun in being uniquely you in fashion and all that you do. It may change your life.

Charli Baltimore In The New Era of Rap

90s artist Charli Baltimore captivated crowds worldwide with her poetic rap style and classic original tunes.

Her fashion style also gave many much to talk about as she rose to fame. Having a chance to discuss her past, present, and future as an artist gave me great pleasure and it was definitely an honor.

Much has changed since the glory days of Tiffany Lane’s (Charli Baltimore) music career. The recording industry has gone from the cassette tape and compact disc to digital downloading. This alone has forced many artists to come up with creative ways to market their niche, and it has not been easy. Charli Baltimore is now on a quest to expand the awareness of her boutique recording label B.M.B. While others are hopeful that they can still please the big recording labels and win huge contracts. It seems

more likely that those days are long gone.

Most established artists have been forced to deal with the fact that they now have to come up with their own marketing solutions in order to push their projects to the masses for sale.

I often wondered what ever happened to Charli Baltimore and why she left the scene right at the pinnacle of her career. The fact is that she never left the scene, she was just going through a restructuring phase with her music. Charli Baltimore was just preparing herself for what the industry was going to throw at her next. With everything that has gone on in the last 10-15 years she has had the insight to stay ahead of the curve and take her piece of the pie quietly.

From the beginning it was a struggle for Tiffany Lane the artist better known as Charli Baltimore.

She was a teen mother at the age of 14 years old and stated that she was told, “Your never going to amount to anything”. She overcame the odds and aligned herself with successful artists in the music industry such as the late Christopher Wallace (Notorious B.I.G.), Ja Rule, and others. It was only destiny which led Charli Baltimore to the levels that she has reached. “I started writing poetry in the 3rd grade”, Ms. Baltimore stated as we discussed what motivated her to create rap songs.

It was also interesting to learn that she does not present any false interpretations of herself. “What you Pg. 33

see is what you get in my fashion and business image”, I often wondered if her previous labels designed an image package to help her sell better with sex appeal.

As we moved along with the interview I especially wanted to know what inspired Charli Baltimore to get back into the game and reaffirm herself as a well known artist. Ms. Baltimore made it real clear, “I never left the game”.

“My passion now is being and executive, writing, and being a label owner”. I got the sense that having her label and being the Vice President of B.M.B. Entertainment has given her something that was missing before in the old days. In the new era Ms. Baltimore has made it clear that she is focusing on being an executive to give people a new look. She is very comfortable working with her business partner Trick

Trick and they plan on gaining endorsements and working on scores for movies.

It was also great to hear that Ms. Baltimore works heavily with the community. She is active and makes speeches at women empowerment events. Charli Baltimore also

works with rapper MC Light to bring awareness to her college scholarship fund. Working with the project Coats for Kids also gives her satisfaction, and of course she mentors teen mothers. Ms. Baltimore is especially appreciative of her supporters. She loves working with her label partners and Brian.

Having spiritual connections and family around are also important factors that Ms. Baltimore is appreciative of.

Winding our interview down to the last couple of questions next I asked do you plan on dropping an album and touring?

“The single Hunnids is out, in September the B.M.B. mix tape Hard to Kill will be out, and the

promo tour from September – December will b taking place.” By taking a sneak peek at the mini movie for the single Hunnids I can tell that the mix tape is bound to be exciting and successful.

Lastly, what encouragement would you give to up and coming artists? Charli Baltimore answered, “You have to be willing to sacrifice your family and friends. Your mindset has to be there.

There are a lot of ups and downs.”
