Established in 1926, Athens Country Club will be celebrating it’s 100th anniversary in two years. Known as one of the premier country clubs in the state of Georgia, ACC has a reputation as a family friendly club that serves as a good steward to and for the greater Athens community. Embracing the cultural heritage and athletics of the Athens and Georgia community, Athens Country Club has hosted 6 Georgia Amateur Championships throughout the years.

Athens Country Club is searching for a positive, proactive, and sincere club professional to assume the role of Assistant General Manager One who enjoys working in an exciting private club environment and has the ability to lead and motivate their team to deliver exceptional experiences to the membership is a must He/She will report directly to the GM/COO and serve as a link between all Department Heads
It is important this individual is capable of mentoring and developing the managers, supervisors, and line level staff they oversee, with routine training, education and growth opportunities. The Assistant General Manager will lead the team to deliver personalized service and foster positive relationships with all Members and guests, upholding the rich tradition and culture of Athens Country Club.

▪ Ability to hire, train, motivate and develop a high performing team in a top tier private club consistently.
▪ A natural leadership style which promotes an engaged, motivated staff.
▪ A mind for innovation and action with an ability to act as a thought partner with leadership, leading the strategic directive and business of the Club alongside the GM.
▪ Encompasses an intuitive style resulting in a sincere and visibly engaged presence with members, guests, and staff proving to be truly engaging when interacting with others
▪ The individual should have experience developing engaging member programming and events for all member demographics.
▪ The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Confidence and professionalism in communicating to varying groups to include Committee and Board meetings.
▪ Disciplined follow-through and time management to ensure the vision and goals of the Club come to fruition.
▪ Ability to cultivate a high-level of member satisfaction through consistency in services and amenities.
▪ Effective fiscal management through development and delivery of actual operational and capital results in all departments.
▪ The desire to maintain high level of visibility and genuine engagement among members and staff.
▪ A sense of urgency and ability to balance multiple areas of responsibilities simultaneously.
▪ Adept in conflict management and problem solving; receiving and addressing Member feedback in a timely manner
▪ A strong professional network and positive reputation in the industry.
▪ Possesses an acute attention to detail in the entirety of the operation through all services and facilities.
✓ A 3-5 years of progressive hospitality management experience, private club experience highly preferred.
✓ A degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience
✓ Strong computer and communication skills
✓ CCM or PGA designation preferred
✓ The position is available immediately.
Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Club offers an excellent bonus and benefit package.
