11am films Monday to Friday include a pre-film pastry & tea or coffee.
These will not have adverts. Trailers will begin at the advertised time.
These screenings feature lowered sound, raised lighting and the freedom to move around the space.
In recent months we’ve received a number of letters and survey responses (a reminder that these are anonymous so we are unable to respond) regarding the start time of adverts. We thank you for raising your grievences and want to address them here.
The switch to adverts beginning at the advertised film time that occurred 18 months ago was unavoidable and ultimately out of our control. We would encourage that if you wish to avoid these adverts that you do not enter the screen until after the advertised time. Adverts will typically run for an average of 15 minutes plus an additional 6 minutes on average for film trailers (we hope you still love watching these as much as we do!) You can also look out for screenings which have no adverts, these are marked by the green symbol shown in the key above.
We recognise that adverts are no-ones favourite part of the cinema, however the income goes a long way to keeping The Courtyard Cinema running and tickets as low cost as possible.
