Easy money for some local golfers

The Men’s Golf Single + Money Ball competition on Saturday was easily won by Scott Mayne, Ron Craw, Paul Kershaw and Geoff Rorke.
Their score of 168 stableford points was 37 stableford points clear of second place.
Craw had the best individual score on 40 points and Kershaw finished on 36 points in the individual competition.
Nearest to the Pin prizes were won by Peter ‘Ding’ Lawrence on the 3rd hole and Stewart Fraser on the 8th.
Max Phillips was back in the winner’s circle on Sunday in the Monthly Medal Stableford competition.
His score of 37 stableford points was one shot clear of the second placegetter Peter ‘China’ Brien on 36 stableford points.
Stewart Fraser won the Nearest to the Pin prize on the 8th hole.
A working bee will be held this Saturday.
A Four-Ball-Best-Ball match will be played on Saturday afternoon.
The second round of the Captain’s Trophy competition will be played as a Stroke event on Sunday. Three Aces
