Current Vacancies

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER (Planning): will deliver effective and efficient administrative support as well as exceptional customer service for and on behalf of Council's Planning department. We are looking for a well organised individual who works as well collaboratively as they do independently, a competent user across all Microsoft Office applications (specifically MS Word) and a keen eye for detail.

Permanent full time, hours and work days negotiable, salary dependent on skills and experience, up to $34.96/hr

PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER (Fixed-Term): will provide administrative support to the project team including managing databases, website and social media updates, procurement activities, preparing agendas, recording and distributing meeting minutes. The project team actively support Council's event and function delivery, which provides a unique opportunity for this role to be creative and community centred.

Fixed Term (2-Years), hours and work days negotiable, commencing at $30.62/hr

LEAD EDUCATOR (Preschool Room): Diploma qualified and will be responsible for developing and implementing an innovative learning program, documenting the children's learning journey, and ensuring the room operates efficiently, cost effectively and in accordance with the required standards, legislation and regulations. Previous experience leading and managing a room combined with your ability to recognise and develop the strengths in your team will see you succeed in this role.

Permanent full- time, 38hrs a week, with monthly RDO, $32.28 - $37.37/hr dependent on experience

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS (Casual): the primary focus of our casual pool is lunch cover Monday to Friday (11am - 2pm), as well as covering rostered days off (working a full day) for the other educators, and both planned and unplanned leave as required.

Temporary casual - Diploma qualified $37.81/hr, Certificate III qualified $32.65/hr

Bantam Roosters’ first hit out Dartaholics score a narrow win

The Golfie Dartaholics recorded a narrow 6-5 win in their game against Empire Barflies in last Wednesday’s local Darts competition.

In the other game played, the Golfie Gophers took on the Golfie Spearchuckers winning 8-3.

Hundreds and high scores were recorded by: Golfie Gophers Daniel Duell 100, 138, 100; Jaci Duell 132; Chis Hooker 121, 140 and Aaron Jones 100,134; Golfie Spearchuckers Daryl Curtis 100, 100, 100; Golfie Dartaholics Craig Jones 140, 100, 180 and Bian Smith 133; Empire Barflies Craig Youd 100, Paige Coleman 100 and Lesley Hooker 100.

The men’s highest peg out for the week was 90, recorded by Les Hooker while 96 was the ladies’ best peg out recorded by Jaci Duell.

The men’s highest dart score of the week was 180 recorded by Craig Jones while the ladies highest dart score was 132 recorded by Jaci Duell.

After a false start last season, there is a Youth League competition being played this year as part of the Christie & Hood Castlereagh Rugby League competition. The Cobar Roosters have entered a team with the boys (pictured above with new coach Paul Sullivan) having their first hit out together on Saturday at Coonamble at the league’s preseason knockout. (Some of the players also had a run with the Roosters First Grade side last week at Dunedoo.) Cobar finished the day with two wins and a narrow loss. They play their first competition game this Saturday in Narromine.

In tonight’s matches, Empire Barflies will take on Golfie Gophers, and Golfie Spearchuckers meet RSL.

Golfie Dartaholics has the night off with a bye.
