JCR Elections

In preparation for next year, the elections for next year’s committee were held in Epiphany term. Hustings for Exec were held on 7th February, with results announced a week later on the 14th. Non-Exec hustings were held on the 21st, with results released on the 28th, so by the end of February all available roles were filled.

I can’t believe we’re at the point in the year already where we’re thinking about who will be stepping into the roles for 23/24, but it was so exciting to see so many people run for each position in our highly contested elections!
It was fantastic to see so many people interested in pursuing leadership roles within College to continue the amazing work of the current JCR Committee, so a massive well done to all the candidates who ran for, and were successfully voted in to these roles.
While it’s still unclear whether the pizza or the democracy brought so many people along to Council to watch, the support shown to each of the candidates exemplifies the community we have in John Snow.
Congratulations to our 2023/24 Junior Common Room Committee!
