Welcome to the Ticketmaster Education Guide At the start of a new year, it’s a great to set new goals. In fact, there’s no better time to think about how we can create lifelong memories for students, as well as offer them inspiring arts and educational experiences. And that’s exactly what this issue of our Education Guide is all about! Looking back to your school days… what were your favourite recollections? For most of us, it was taking field trips to explore museums or watch theatrical performances. Just imagine the wonder and excitement on young faces when they see the priceless artefacts in TUTANKHAMUN: TREASURES OF THE GOLDEN PHARAOH. On display at London’s Saatchi Gallery until early May, this exhibition about the ancient boy king is guaranteed to get your pupils fascinated by Egyptian history. When it comes to igniting imagination, no one does it better than Disney – and this spring DISNEY ON ICE PRESENTS MAGICAL ICE FESTIVAL is touring the UK. Jam-packed with characters from across the films, the ice spectacular will transport students to a world of adventure they’ll never forget. Of course, the theatre always makes for a great outing by stimulating creativity and broadening cultural horizons. Take your students to discover the Serengeti Plain and hear the evocative rhythms of Africa, all while being filled with heartwarming joy courtesy of DISNEY’S THE LION KING. Based on classic French novels, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA evokes a world full of opera houses, underground caverns and windswept rooftops, while LES MISÉRABLES brings the suffering of the poor and the spirit of rebellion into focus. Or escape in a musical flight of fantasy with MARY POPPINS and MATILDA THE MUSICAL. These are just a few of the opportunities you’ll find in this issue to bring magic into learning while fostering fun times and lasting memories. So go ahead… make 2020 their best year yet!
