Remembrance Day 2021 Although last year’s ceremony proved deeply touching and poignant arranged so movingly and quietly as it was, it was wonderful to return to the time-honoured march by Alleyn’s CCF through the Village to Christ’s Chapel of God’s Gift and the traditional laying of the wreaths on the cenotaph. On Armistice Day itself, the whole School gathered to listen to a beautiful service led by the Reverend Liz Lander. The CCF paraded and the Last Post and Reveille sounded in a respectful act of remembrance.
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.” Lizzy Frost, EAC President 2020/21 at Remembrance Sunday’s wreath laying ceremony
