ihin voi luottaa, miten rakentaa luotettavia ihmis- tai luontosuhteita? Miten mennä eteenpäin? Miten selviytyä tai tuhoutua? Miten kokea ja lähestyä taideteoksia, jotka koskettavat mielen eheyttä, sen vapautta, psyykkisenä olentona elämisen kipua ja kauneutta? Minkä perustavanlaatuisten, yhteisesti jaettavien ja turhan hälyn hiljentävien esitysten ääreen kokoontua? Näitä kysymyksiä olemme kerta toisensa jälkeen kysyneet. Ja kysymme yhä. Vastaus on kaukana yksiselitteisestä. Pääohjelmiston kokonaisuutta läpileikkaa elämänhalua vahvistava pohjavire ja teemoiltaan kirkas linja. Elokuun festivaalin keskiössä on perhe ja perheettömyys, sekä mieli – niin mielenmaisema kuin mielenterveyskin. Ja vaikka pääohjelmiston fokus onkin helppo tiivistää yhteen lauseeseen, on näille esityksille samanaikaisesti liki mahdotonta tehdä oikeutta kuvailemalla niitä sanoin. Ne on koettava itse, nähtävä omin silmin. Tervetuloa!
hat to trust, how to build trusting relationships with people and nature? How to move forward? How to survive, and how to perish? How to experience and approach artworks that connect with the harmony and freedom of the mind, and the pain and beauty of being a psychological creature? What are the fundamental works that could bring us together and silence the outside noise? We’ve asked the same questions time and again, and keep repeating them. The answer is far from simple. The festival’s main lineup is a triumph of thematic clarity and a celebration of the will to live. A common topic is family or the lack of such. There’s also a tendency to study the mind – either to map out the scenery or to conduct a health check. But, even if the lineup could be summarized in one sentence, it’s nearly impossible to do justice to these works by trying to describe them with words. They need to be experienced, seen and witnessed. Welcome!
