The Tabor cheer squad of 2022- 23 is a team of dedicated athletes who perform with excellence at every opportunity. They have worked hard this year at developing new skill sets and pushing themselves beyond their previous boundaries. Their dedication has enabled them to execute a higher level of performance. The Tabor cheer squad enjoys performing to enhance game day experiences. They value engaging with fans, encouraging the athletes, and creating an atmosphere of community. On top of what the cheer team does at games, they are involved within the Hillsboro community helping to create a bridge between local families and the college. Coaches Krista Matlock and Rylee Yoder are grateful for the dedication and hard work of their squad. They both agree working with these student athletes has been a blessing and gift from God. They look forward to building on the successes of this year and are excited for the future of Tabor Cheer.

SNAPSHOT continued from page 13 athletes competed at the NAIA Indoor Championships in Vance Shewey, Dillon Callaway, William Colgin and Zack Johnson. Shewey competed in the high jump and Callaway in the 1000m run. The two returned home after the national meet being dubbed NAIA All-American’s with Shewey finishing as the national runner-up and Callaway claiming 6th place.

SNAPSHOT continued from page 12 breaking the record in the same race. In the very next meet, the two would repeat when they both took down the 1000m school record. Allison would later claim the mile and 5000m record. Then lastly the distance medley relay record would go down to a team of Allison, Wiebe, Sonya Zimmerman and Sydnee Gardner. This brings the total number of broken school records to five on the season. Allison and Wiebe both competed in the 1000m run at the NAIA Indoor Championships. Allison would finish 5th to earn the title of NAIA All-American.
