The night has events designed for all age groups. Throughout the night youth members compete in races, activities such as, relays, ring toss and more. Free water-slide rides are a crowd favourite.
A great night to encourage group cooperation and individual challenge.
The night was well attended, with representatives from all the groups in the district. It was a perfect night for the carnival, after a 30°C day!

Norfolk Plains Scout Group
The Norfolk Plains Scout Unit was formed in October 2020 combining the Cressy, Perth and Evandale Scouting units.
The first task for our new unit was to find a name that was unique to the Northern Midlands district. With lots of ideas proposed, we settled with “Norfolk Plains” which is a historic farming district surrounding the local villages on the Macquarie, South Esk and Liffey rivers of northern Tasmania.
Some of our Scouts favourite activities include building and programming robotic vehicles, making catapults with spars and lots of gamesespecially ones in the dark!
We are really looking forward to attending the Scout Regatta in Snug, and also getting back on to Scout Island at Cora Lynn for a camp after the big floods submerged it last year. Please drop in and say G’day if you are in the area (Scouts: Thursday 6:30-8:30pm, Venturers: Wednesday 7:00-9:00pm).
