It is with great joy that Senior Resource Association announces our first in-person gathering since early 2020. “Nourishing Our Souls,” our opening event of the season, promises to be notably different and inspiring – a special time to reconnect with friends and replenish our spirits. Ashley Campbell, daughter of the late country music star Glen Campbell, joins us to share familiar songs intertwined with personal stories of her father’s journey with dementia. Ashley’s experiences and memories will be especially meaningful for those who have cared for – or know someone who has cared for – a loved one with dementia. We’re honored to dedicate this program to caregivers, whose support and wellbeing is a vital part of our mission to help older adults live at home for as long as safely possible. A VIP champagne reception with our special guest will be followed by a delicious Quail Valley luncheon, Ashley’s music and tender recollections of her father. “Nourishing Our Souls” will touch lives – we hope you’ll be with us. OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMS Adult Enrichment & Respite/DayAway Licensed by ACHA and with a specialization in dementia, DayAway provides seniors and their caregivers with a safe, enriching environment supporting their physical and cognitive health issues. In-Home Services Our in-home care and assistance for seniors make daily living safer and more enjoyable in the comfort of home, for as long as safely possible.
Meals on Wheels Alleviates isolation and hunger with hot, nutritious meals and daily wellness visits and provides temporary meals to recovering patients returning home. Senior Supportive Services Promoting independence, these services assist seniors with grocery shopping, durable medical equipment, and more. Volunteer Opportunities The heart of our organization, volunteers are always needed for Meals on Wheels, DayAway, and Silver Tones choral group.
Public Guardian Program Contracted by the Office of Public & Professional Guardians, SRA provides public guardianship services to legally incapacitated adults who do not have adequate income or assets to afford a private guardian and no willing family or friend to assist. Community Coach & GoLine Transportation Door-to-door paratransit for individuals with no other means of transportation and public, complimentary bus rides for all throughout Indian River County.
