DESIGN PROJECT AT A GLANCE Location: Admirals Cove in Jupiter, Florida Size: 11,565 sq ft of living space,

Staged to Perfection Page 2 Design’s team along with Contractor, Beachlen Development and Architect, YRA Design joined forces to create a stunning waterfront estate in Admirals Cove. It brought a refreshing, transitional design to this elite Jupiter community. The contemporary, open floor plan with expansive views of the water from every room defies the community’s ordinary Mediterranean style. The new home has 11,565 square feet of living space, including the waterfront outdoor living area and two covered balconies upstairs. The result was a unique design for Admirals Cove that’s not too modern yet looks like it has always belonged. Once the trio of design teams agreed upon the design direction and location of the new home, Page Franzel drafted drawings, layouts and specs for all aspects of the interior, including flooring, ceilings, hardware, custom built-ins, lighting, and mirrors. After consulting with Beachlen and YRA Design to make needed changes, Page had all the detailed design plans ready for the subcontractors who went to work completing the masterpiece.

In addition to designing the interior and exterior features, Page and her team also staged the entire home with furniture and accessories. “After the home’s completion, we had only 60 days to select the furniture and accents and get it all in place,” Page said. “This beautiful home is a perfect example of how well our turnkey design talents and project management services work in tandem with the contractor and architect.” Beachlen Development’s Contractor, Tom Laboon agrees: “I know how to build it. Page knows how to design it and select just the right colors. The home has a good feel when you walk into it. Everything works very well together.” The collaboration also created a new trend in the boating and golfing community of Admirals Cove that is proving highly successful. The new home was under contract in less than three months.

Dining Room The dining room was designed to maximize views of the waterfront. Custom built-in cabinetry adds a practical yet beautiful dimension with plenty of storage space.

PAGE’S NOTES

Fabulous Faux Fabrics

Gone are the days when “faux” was considered faux pas. Today, the benefits of faux fabrics are creating impressive results in the design industry and on many social fronts. An interview with designer, Page Franzel is enlightening, not only from a personal perspective but a practical one as well. Q: Why are faux fabrics an important part of your designs? A: Our team at Page 2 Design agrees that whenever possible, we will create beautiful designs using faux fabrics and leathers that are cruelty-free. This means using fabrics and materials that were not created using animals or cruel treatment of animals. This is not a new trend for us. We have always offered an animal-friendly option to our clients – and many of our clients share our love of animals. We have also long stood behind our culture of cruelty-free designs with support of organizations like the Humane Society and H.A.L.O No Kill Rescue. Q: What are the benefits to your clients? A: Even if our clients do not express a strong choice of animal friendly designs, they often like the practicality and price point of our faux fabrics. The faux leathers, for example, come in a wide range of patterns, are washable, and more durable than leather. We particularly love the Elizabeth Dow line

of faux furs. And they are surprisingly affordable.
